Who's In Charge?

Further Information: 

The Who’s in Charge? Group is an 8 week program for parents or carers of young people (8 to 18 years) who are out of control, violent or defiant.

The group aims to:

· Provide a supportive environment for parent’s to share experiences and ideas

· Clarify boundaries of what is acceptable and unacceptable behaviour

· Reduce parent’s feelings of isolation, shame and guilt

· Reinforce belief in the possibility of change

· Explore ways of increasing safety and well-being

· Help parents feel more in control and less stressed

What advice would you give to someone thinking about entering this type of group?

Try it!  I didn't think it would be helpful to me but it really was!!!
